Dr. Louis Cataldie
Dr. Cataldie is a nationally recognized expert in the field of addiction medicine and in the area of treating safety-sensitive professionals. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and he is a Certified Medical Review Officer. He is a past Medical Director of the Physician’s Health Foundation of Louisiana, and past Medical Director of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing/Recovering Nurse Program.
Other highlights of Dr. Cataldie’s career include a 2-year appointment from 2005-2007 as Louisiana State Medical Examiner Incident Commander for the recovery and identification of all deceased victims of Hurricane Katrina, a 7-year stint as Medical Director for the Louisiana State Office of Addictive Disorders, and serving 10 years as the Coroner of East Baton Rouge Parish in the 1990s. Dr. Cataldie has a thriving private practice in Baton Rouge and is the author of two books. He routinely speaks at state and national events on subjects related to addiction medicine and treating safety-sensitive professionals. Dr. Cataldie is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School.
