The Acadiana Treatment Center Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) provides long‑term residential services for adolescents (ages 1217) who have significant impairment in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, family, and social functioning.

The PRTF’s intensive psychiatric, medical, psychological, social, nursing, recreational, and educational services are open to all eligible adolescents regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, educational history, or social background.

Once that appropriateness has been determined, the admissions specialist will proceed with coordination of admission into the program.

If services to the PRTF are not indicated through this process, we are closely linked to other community services and will facilitate a referral.
